Our writing project for Unit 3 consists in writing a Europass CV.
 You can download the English template in this link https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/documents/curriculum-vitae/templates-instructions
  Follow these steps:
1. Look for an advertisement for a position you might be interested in (in English, in the Internet). Don't waste too much time on this part!
2. Download the template
3. Fill in the CV specifically for the position you are applying for.

Test Unit 4 Go trans-global

This is a short test to check your knowledge of the vocabulary seen in unit 4 and of the present perfect tense and the particles that often go with it. Don't forget to check your score and the corrections if you don't get all the answers right. Final Test
This a dictation activity to practise the vocabulary seen in this unit, particularly means of transport, and the present perfect form. You will hear about Steve Fosset's feats as a round the world adventurer. After you listen to it once and write down what you hear, you can press "pause" and "play" to listen to it again. I found this video on WatchKnowLearn.org It actually comes from YouTube and was produced by Geography Tutor.   The video investigates various types of land forms: mountains, plains, islands; and water forms: oceans, rivers, tides and much more. You can see pictures for each landform and listen to their definitions and how these landmasses were formed. The activity you have to do is to compare the list of geographical features we have seen in Unit 4 in our book and take note of the new ones we didn't see in the book.

Listening Activity

Before you listen to this audio on a Night Out in Newcastle, consider the following questions:
 1. Where is Newcastle?
 2. What sort of places do you think will be mentioned in the description?
 3. Are you more interested in knowing a city by day or by night?
 4. What activities do you do in the evening at weekends?


After listening to the audio decide if the following statements are True or False:
1.  Newcastle is a very old city.
2.  Young people go to Newcastle to go to the ‘Theatre Royal’.
3.    The Big Market is the name of a theatre.
4.   Women go to ‘stag parties’ the night before they get married.
5.  The Tuxedo Royale is very popular.
6. Tuxedo Royale is the name of a ferry which goes to Northern Ireland.
7. People don’t wear much at night because the weather in Newcastle is normally very warm.
8.   You can only get into some clubs if you dress as a policeman.
9.  There is no police presence in Newcastle at night.
